Day Visits

Tiverton Castle is open to the public from Easter Sunday to the end of October on Sundays, Thursdays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 2.30pm ‑ 5.30pm. Last admission is 5.00pm.

Admission Prices 2012:
Adults: £6.00
Children 7-16: £2.50
Under 7: Free
Disabled unable to climb stairs: Half price
Garden only: £1.50.

We hope you will agree our prices are very moderate compared to other attractions. We offer real value for money.

Tours are free range, but on most Sundays there is an optional excellent guided tour starting at about 2.45pm. at no extra charge.

Disabled Access

Disabled visitors are most welcome, but wheelchair access is limited to the garden and ground floor of the Castle only. Learn about the History, and if interested pieces of armour can be brought down to try on. There is a wide, shallow Jacobean staircase to the first floor, with a very wide banister for visitors who can climb stairs, however slowly.

Facilities

We regret there are no longer refreshment facilities for day visitors, but during weekdays there are plenty of tearooms in the town.
Free parking for visitors in chestnut drive. Enter through Great Gateway, an exciting approach.
